Theodore House is managed by The Christian Heritage Centre at Stonyhurst Trading Limited, a subsidiary company of The Christian Heritage Centre at Stonyhurst charity. The CHC Trading Limited operates Theodore House commercially as a facility selling residential accommodation and meeting facilities, and trades as Theodore House.

Theodore House is governed by its situation on the property of a Catholic school and its parent company, a Catholic charity. As such, no bookings can be accepted for events that promote or enact practices that are in conflict with the teachings of the Catholic Church.

Acceptance & Confirmation of Bookings

All bookings are subject to acceptance by us and we reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion.

A booking will only be considered to formally exist once we have received the completed booking form and we have subsequently confirmed the booking.

Payment

For individual room bookings, payment will be required one week in advance or at the time of booking if made less than one week in advance.

For group or facilities bookings made more than 12 weeks in advance of the arrival or event date, a provisional booking can be held for up to 28 days without payment. To confirm the booking an initial deposit of 25% of the total booking value will be required within 28 days of the provisional booking, or 12 weeks before arrival/the event, whichever occurs first. A second payment of 25% of the total booking value will be required 8 weeks before arrival/the event.

For group or facilities bookings made within 12 weeks of the arrival or event date, a provisional booking can be held for up to a maximum of 14 days without payment. To confirm the booking, 50% of the total booking value should be paid within 14 days of the provisional booking.

The balance will be payable by or on the date of departure.

Cancellations

Individual room bookings may be cancelled without charge with at least 72 hours’ notice. After this period, 50% of the booking fee will still be payable.

For group or facilities bookings, deposits are ordinarily non-refundable. Any refunds or transfers will be at our discretion.

Alterations can be made to a booking at any point. Detractions will incur the loss of deposits paid to date for the elements in question. Additions will be subject to availability.

Where catering is included, final numbers of attendees must be confirmed 1 week prior to the event. Any further alterations to the booking will be at our discretion.

Payment Method

Payment can be made by bank transfer (BACS), credit or debit card (over the phone or online), or by cheque.

Liability

Guests will be liable for any unreasonable damage which they incur to Theodore House property.

Check in time

Check in is from 3pm on the day of arrival and check out is by 11am, unless otherwise advised.

For the avoidance of doubt, this Policy forms part of the legal booking terms and conditions for Theodore House. Theodore House will not consider itself bound by any booking found to contravene the above terms and conditions.
